I had a few guesses. My last one took a while and I thought I had hit on the magical word.
My last guess was 'cheese,' which didn't end up working. The Interweb was just being slow.

for some reason I'm reminded of a famous little guessing sequence...
"Does it guess easy? It must have a competition with us, my preciouss! If precious asks, and it doesn’t answer, we eats it, my preciousss. If it asks us, and we doesn’t answer, then we does what it wants, eh? We shows it the way out, yes!"
I like Riddles; I'm no good at all at them, but I like them. But still, please don't eat us Tiffin if we get the answers wrong...
um... at least, don't eat us raw; I'm sure uncooked Mas is full of [thought trails off in directions only the clinically insane would care to follow in the footsteps of... ]

Mas, amidst all that rambling, are you saying you can't work out the riddle?
Damn, I thought I was very cunningly disguising that fact with my inane ramblings.. hmm... to be honest, I've not had a good, long think over it - and I'm not a one to sneak a look in the back of the quiz book for the answers - at least, not until I've really had a good old try at it and... I'm rambling again aren't I? I'm sure if I put the energy I have to ramble into guessing I'd've cracked Enigma by now (yes, I know it's already been cracked - just not by me :) )
